The Trust relies for funding on the generosity of all members of the Balule Nature Reserve conservancy, their friends and associates. The two share blocks, Olifants North Game Reserve and Olifants River Game Reserve are anchor donors who have committed to making substantial grants on an annual basis. For this the Trustees acknowledge their invaluable support and thank them for their generosity.
The Trust has accumulated some reserve funds but, in order to continue to support the worthwhile programs we contribute to, and any new initiatives, we need to raise funds on an on-going basis.
Following our Covid-19 appeal the response has been overwhelming and the funds raised to date will go a long way to achieving the objectives of this appeal. As the funds are allocated we will provide regular updates to our donors.
We urge new donors to consider contributing to the fund in the knowledge that your donation will ensure that we can continue to support and expand our reach in the Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa regions.
All donations will be acknowledged and all eligible donors will be issued with Section 18A tax certificates which should be retained and used to claim a tax deduction in their annual income tax returns.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact us and one of the trustees will be in-touch.
The COVID-19 appeal has been widely supported by stakeholders in the Balule Conservancy, their friends and associates. The Trustees wish to record their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed so generously, in particular the overseas and anonymous donors who swelled our coffers by donating over R670,006.
The accumulated funds will be used wisely over the next three to four months to enable our beneficiaries to continue the excellent work they are doing in the target communities of the Trust.
